Firefighters camp out for a good cause

Firefighters braved the elements of the weather this past weekend in the name of a good cause. Sarah Redekop has more.

Five local Firefighters camped out on a roof this past weekend to raise money for a disease with no cure. The annual campout, which took place at Hudson’s Tap House this year, raised money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. The money helps fund research and improve quality of life for those who have the disease. Local Firefighter and participant, Jarret Fowler, says it’s important to him to raise money to help find a cure, especially because he knows many in Lethbridge who are affected. So far, the event taking place in cities across North America, has raised over 500 million dollars since 1954.
