Lethbridge is gearing up to showcase a lot of local talent next month.
The 55+ Alberta Winter Games will be hosted in and around the city from Feb. 20-22.
Over 1,100 athletes are expected to compete in 14 both physical and non-physical events.
Lea Switzer, Board of Directors Chair, said women’s, indoor soccer has been added to the list this year for the first time.
“We felt that there was a bit of a gender imbalance and we wanted to supply a venue for women to have similar kinds of sports,” said Switzer.
