AG Expo, Seed Fair draw crowds

The agricultural industry continues to thrive in Canada.

Farm equipment, livestock supplies, chemicals, seeds, irrigation equipment, producers and marketers of crops and livestock were showcased by a variety of vendors at this year’s AG Expo held Feb. 29 – March 2.

More than 50 different classes of seed were showcased in the North American Seed Fair. The seeds were judged and ribbons were awarded to the best seeds.

The expo uses over 100,000 sq. ft. of indoor space. The same amount of space was used outside to display farm equipment.

AG Expo is one of the biggest agricultural trade shows in Canada. People from all over come to Lethbridge each year to view vendors, listen to keynote speakers and take in the displays offered.

Different farm equipment was on display as well as a variety of products that are used by farmers. Agricultural products such as potatoes, seeds, and livestock were all featured and available for purchase.

AG Expo is an annual event at the Exhibition Grounds in Lethbridge.

Last year, more than 22,000 people attended.
