The Lethbridge Animal Shelter re-opened Thursday, Nov. 27 after renovations to its facility.
Renovations included upgrades to the kennels, a new ventilation system to prevent allergens and changes to the acoustics of the building to reduce noise for the animals.
Renovations were funded through bequests and lifecycle funding through the city.
“We have also tried to make the facility more inviting to the public so we can more people in and more pets can go out the door” said Dave Henley Senior Bylaw Officer at the City of Lethbridge.
A full list of all renovations that were made can be found on the city’s website at lethbridge.ca.
