Are electronic cigarettes as safe as we think?

E-cigarettes have been the latest trend for young adults who want to quit smoking. This device allows users to cut back on smoking while still applying the hand to mouth motion.
Karen Goodison, health official in Lethbridge, says there is no regulations on the product and health officials can’t tell if the product is safe to use.

“Because we don’t know those and we do know that it can irrigate air waives, our current recommendation is to not use them,” Goodison says.

Goodison adds that smokers who want to quit smoking should turn to other products that are regulated so they can monitor the side effects more closely.
