Arrogantly entertaining audiences for over 20 years

Comedy was the main theme at the Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod last Thursday, as the Arrogant Worms were in town promoting their latest album Space.

Fans of all ages came out to see the group, as their music is enjoyable and it relates to a broad audience.

The group as been together for over 20 years, writing songs that make fun of pop culture with a humoristic style to it.

“Right now we’re doing a lot of new songs that we’ve never done live before, so we’re getting this immediate feedback from the audience, so we know that the songs work or not,” said Arrogant Worms’ Chris Patterson.

The Arrogant Worms have been performing their act for a long time and to remain successful throughout the years they keep the humour in all of the songs they write because that is what their fans enjoy about them.

“We know that if we write a big serious, epic sort of song that it’s not going to work for our fans, we know they come to laugh,” said Patterson.

The group wrapped up their western Canadian tour the following day in Medicine Hat.
