“Be ready. What happens next matters most”

Lethbridge college is ready to put its best foot forward with its new brand campaign. At the event, college President and CEO Paula Burns and college Manager of Marketing and Web Services Brian Freeman made speeches about the new brand.

The new campaign slogan is “Be ready. What happens next matters most.” The college feels the new slogan represents its adaptability.

The campaign focuses on the college meeting new education needs of students, and embracing new innovations.  In her speech, Burns said the rebranding campaign demonstrates what makes Lethbridge College special.

“It really shows our strength as a college; it shows our desire to be ready for whatever happens next.”

In his speech, Brian Freeman spoke about why the rebrand is important.

“This campaign is about sharing moments. The moments we’re in, preparing us for the moment that comes next.”

The college had not been rebranded in a while, and Burns says that the college needed an update.

“We’ve had the old brand for about ten years, which was still resonating and it still felt good. At the same time, we knew it wasn’t going to last forever and it was time to say ‘okay, where are we now and what’s next.’”

The slogan was also posted on the side of a fully decorated bus featuring Lethbridge College students and athletes. Free socks were given out to staff as part of the campaign. Freeman said in his speech that they mean more than just socks.

“The socks are a metaphor: we’re grounded, we’re putting our best foot forward.”

Going into the future, the college feels it and its students are ready to take on any challenge they face.
