Big crowds at Ag Expo

One year before its centennial, Ag Expo drew big crowds March 2-4 at the Lethbridge Exhibition Park.

Becky Sarich, event co-ordinator, says the event was up 22 per cent in attendance from the previous year.
“We had 1,100 more people for the first day and 2,000 more on the second day,” said Sarich.
Diverse topics such as farm equipment, livestock supplies, chemicals, seeds, irriga
tion, crops and livestock were discussed at the event. There were over 300 vendors who set up at the three-day event.
In order for vendors to be part of the event, they have to go through a process.
“We have our contracts on our website,” said Sarich.
“They go up six months before the show and all they have to do is fill out the contract and send it back to us.”
