Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will play at The Stone

It’s been over 15 years since hip-hop group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony had their first taste of success with the single “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” – and they’re not stopping any time soon.

Bone Thugs member Anthony Henderson, known as Krayzie Bone, says their longtime success is due in part to the ups and downs they’ve experienced as a group.

“We’ve all grown from boys to men, and we’ve been through a lot in our careers. So all of that, just life in general, shaped who we are right now.”

Although the Bone Thugs have stayed true to the laid-back sound of their Cleveland, Ohio roots, over the years they’ve added new elements to stay current and uphold their reputation as innovators of the hip-hop genre.

“Everything changes. Once you’ve done something for so long, you start to add more flavour. We’ve become masters of our style, so we can do just about anything now,” says Krayzie Bone.

Most members of the Grammy Award-winning group are busy working on solo projects, but a new full-length album is planned for future release. Krayzie Bone says it’s only a matter of freeing up some time.

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will be performing in Lethbridge on Friday Oct. 28, at the Zombie Gras Halloween party at The Stone.

Krayzie Bone says their show will have a lot of energy and excitement, and to expect new songs and the classics. Mostly, the Bone Thugs want to give something back to the fans who have supported their music over the years.

“We’ll go wherever we have fans. We want to show them the same love they’ve showed us.”
