Breaking into the Lethbridge music scene

The music scene in Lethbridge is on the rise.

The music scene in Lethbridge has been growing over the past year, thanks to Henotic lounge.

Owner Jason Beacock opened the lounge over a year ago and has been helping local musicians get on stage to play for a live audience.

“I had this idea of opening a bar, that I like, that involves all kinds of music,” says Beacock.

Every Wednesday, Henotic holds open mic night for any genres in the hopes of helping local talent by any means necessary.

Lethbridge band Modita, has been together for four months and still going strong.

“People appreciate the music, it is a warm atmosphere, that is very accommodating,” says guitarist, Sean Gorman.

Musician James Clare, is a Lethbridge College student, who hopes Henotic can expose his music to a greater audience.

“Lethbridge has a great music scene and a lot of talent,” says James Clare.

“I hope that these open mic nights at Henotic will assist me in releasing a solo album in the future,” he adds.
