Buchanan Library to get facelift this summer

Lethbridge College students will be walking into what will look like a brand-new Buchanan Library after the summer.

Currently, construction is in phase one of two to renovate the library to make it more comfortable for students.

Library and Digital Learning Manager Kyle Snowdon says phase one is to help give students more space to work on group projects.

“We’ve had a lot of difficulties with noise in the library and students not being able to find quiet space. It’s going to allow for groups that are doing collaborative group work to go in, shut a door and then they can work.”

Phase two will be completed over the summer, and will involve a new paint job, new offices and new furniture in the library.

Hello! I’m Dara Kendell, I’m from the tiny, dinosaur infested town of Drumheller. I really love alternative music, photography, travelling, and my cat Ruby. I have an ever-growing collection of tattoos and would pretty much always rather be at a concert. I moved to Lethbridge in 2017 to take the Digital Communications and Media program. It’s pretty rad.
