‘Canes bounce back, topple Giants at home

The Lethbridge Hurricanes picked up their game on Saturday night after a loss to Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 27.

On Wednesday the Hurricanes took on the Vancouver Giants finishing with a 5-2 loss. It didn’t look promising from the beginning as they were down three goals within 10 minutes into the first period.

The Hurricanes did what they could to come back and scored one in the second period and again in the third, but the Giants were right behind them keeping their lead and claiming victory in the end.

On Saturday, the Country 95 Halloween Howl took place at the Enmax centre and many were encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes and cheer on the home team.

There was no disguising that the Hurricanes were on their game for the evening as they took on the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Within the first period, the Hurricanes scored four goals and it was well into the second period before the Wheat Kings even made their first goal.

In the end the final score was a 6-3 win for the Hurricanes.

The next Hurricanes home game is Nov. 6 against the Kootenay Ice.
