Exciting Summer inspires Communications Arts Almuni

Lethbridge College Recruiter Mike Burland is excited for another year of helping get the word out to perspective students.

Spending a portion of the past summer as an operating assistant for the Banff World Media Festival, one of the largest gatherings of media professionals in North America, gave him a great perspective on his education received as a graduate of the Communications Arts program in 2012.

“Learning a lot about the industry while mingling with top people in the field was certainly a highlight,” Burland said.

Now back with Recruitment Services, he’ll be busy traveling across the prairies speaking with students and helping them see if Lethbridge College is right for them.

“The communication writing I learned has assisted me as a recruiter in allowing me to develop creative ways of helping prospective students learn about Lethbridge College,” he added.  “It has lead me to the career path to my dreams.”
