First Week Frosh Week

Frosh Week was a great way to start off the first week of school for college newcomers.

Throughout last week there were several events being held by the Lethbridge College Students Association, inviting all students to come out for a few nights of fun.

Tuesday night started off amazingly. Students were invited to The Barn to witness their fellow peers get hypnotized.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time and it was a great way to meet people around the college, and around the campus residence.

Wednesday night had to be good in order to get up to the standard the previous night had been, and it was successful.

The field in the middle of 30th Avenue residence was packed with students and their blankets, lawn chairs and even couches.

A movie screen was set up and played the movie ‘Get Him to the Greek’.

Though it was chilly, everyone got comfy, had some hot chocolate and popcorn, and enjoyed each other’s company throughout the evening.

After hours of set-up time it was time for Rave in the Cave. A backlight party was held in The Cave and students were invited to dress in their tightest and brightest clothes and dance the night away.

Even before opening, students seemed to be piling in to get a taste of the cool new atmosphere of what is regularly a place to study.

Music was provided by a couple of local DJs, so dancing continued throughout the night.

This is the first time in a couple years the college has put on such an event and it turned out to be a success, and will most likely be perused in the future.

All in all the week was a good way for students to get to know more people around the area, considering it is usually fairly difficult to do so when moving to or from another city.
