Flu season is underway

Flu season is here and it’s not going away.

Here at Lethbridge College there is a flu clinic located at Student Health Services (CE1380).

With the amount of students who have got their vaccinations already this year, they are on pace to beat last year’s 1,000 who volunteered to get their shot.,

In the last week, over 900 staff and students have been treated.

Terra Zosuik who is the organizer of the college’s clinic says it’s great to have a high turnout.

“With the numbers this year, we are going to reduce the number of flu’s that are going around the school.”

Students who are in the health field are given the choice to take the shot or not.

If an outbreak were to happen they wouldn’t be able to work at the health desks, then they would be required to get the shots.

To book an appointment, you can drop in or phone 403-320-3289.
