Get hype at open mic night

Standing in the spotlight is a hit or miss when expressing yourself. The key idea is getting out there and trying your best said organizers from the Lethbridge College Student Association’s event.

Hosted every second Thursday of the month, the LCSA’s Open Mic Night is for students and performers to engage the audience through many performances involving singing, karaoke, stand up comedy and many more acts.

Last year’s event consisted of actual performers to begin the night in hopes to encourage students to jump on the stage. Alleviating stress through entertainment is the message LSCA’s Events and communication coordinator Tanner Marcer’s wishes to get across.

“[At open mic night] it’s a good first step if you want to get up on stage,” says Marcer.

LCSA is aiming to raise the surprising 40 people turnout last year up to 50 people attending and performing.
