Grass too tall for Rattlers as Rustlers move on

Story by David Selles

The third game of the CORA’s Breakfast and Lunch ACAC Men’s Basketball Championships was another tightly contested one that saw the Lakeland Rustlers sneak out a win over the Medicine Hat.

The game was close from start to finish with both teams trading runs throughout the evening. Second year guard Adrian Richards led the way for Lakeland with 24 points while fourth year guard Aaron Cameron led the Rattlers in scoring with 22.

Lakeland’s bench was a big boost throughout the game with players yelling and staying engaged with the players on the court. Medicine Hat was able to play a consistent game but ultimately couldn’t hit the key shots down the stretch allowing Lakeland to ice it from the line. Medicine Hat will continue their tournament tomorrow at 3 p.m. while Lakeland will now move on to the 8 p.m. game tomorrow.
