DIY charging station

Get that mess of wires in order, and make sure your handheld devices are ready to go with this homemade charging station. For this project you’ll need a ribbon box or a shoe box, a power strip and a utility knife.

*Step One. Take your box and trace out five circles, four on the front of the box and one on the side. Label over top of the cut out holes for your phone, computer and Ipod charger cables so you know which one goes where.

*Step Two. Take your utility knife and cut out the traced circles, if you don’t have a utility knife use a pair of scissors.

*Step Three. Place your power strip inside the box and pull the cord out through the hole on the side and plug in to your main outlet.

Congratulations, you now have your own custom made fully functioning charging station, and your wires will be out of sight and tangle free. You can decorate the outside of the box if you wish as well so it doesn’t look so plain.
