Hurricanes hurt over the weekend

It was a rough weekend for the Hurricanes as they took on the U.S division on both Friday and Saturday.

The Hurricanes were shut out 6-0 on Friday night by the Washington Spokane Chiefs with the final.

The Hurricanes were on their game, outshooting the Chiefs in the first period. It wasn’t a good enough effort and the score was 3-0 heading into the third.

Three more goals in the third and the Chiefs had the game.

It was a sad 9-4 loss against the Tri City Americans on Saturday night in Kennewick Wash.

Early into the first period, the American team took one goal early into the game.

Shortly after, rookie player Russell Maxwell tied it up 1-1.

Throughout the rest of the game the Hurricanes stayed lagging behind the American team.

It wasn’t a good away weekend for the ‘Canes but back on home soil this week they take on Calgary on Wednesday at the Enmax centre 7:00 P.M.
