Start off this school year with a glow! Students will be raving tonight at the Neon Lights Party taking place in The Cave. There will be techno music by DJ Orangeman, drinks, bright lights and body paint to keep the party moving. A canvas wall is the newly added attraction this year. Students will be able to throw glow paint, draw and express their creativity on this wall throughout the evening.
The Lethbridge College Students’ Association is hosting the event. Tanner Marcer, president of the LCSA, expressed his excitement about this year’s festivities, “This will be a great place for students to interact,” he said. Marcer is most excited about the canvas wall. He is hoping to do time-lapse photos, which will be later posted on the canvas photo booth. Marcer explained the time lapse would be a great way to remember the event and watch how it unfolded. Marcer summed up the party in three words, “Interaction, chaos and fun.”
In addition to the canvas wall, free white t-shirts will be given out to students. The t-shirts will allow those attending the party to record their memories of the evening on each other. There is no dress code for the event, but anything neon, bright and white will keep you glowing throughout the evening. Beer, highballs, and coolers will be provided at a cost of $4 each. There is no charge for admission and the event is open to all Lethbridge College Students and staff over the age of 18. Each student and staff member is able to bring one invited guest. The party will begin September 10, at 8 p.m. in The Cave and continue until midnight.
The Neon Lights Party is the first LCSA party to start off the school year. This is your chance to interact with fellow students at the college in a carefree and safe environment. So as the sun goes down this evening, find your way to the bright lights in The Cave.
