Kodiak men place second at cross-country provincials

This past weekend the Kodiaks cross-country team finished with some impressive results during provincials at SAIT.

For the men, several finished in the top 10. Peter Kalya finished in first place with a time of 26:43, Dennis Ronoh finished sixth with a time of 29:04, and Conrad Chesire finished seventh with a time of 29:06.

 

The Kodiak mens team finished second overall at provincials.

 

The women had one finish in the top 10. Gladys Kochei finished fourth with a time of 20:37.

 

Some other finishers were Purity Kandie in 15th with a time of 21:51, Natasha Lapointe in 35th with a time of 23:23 and Meagann Johnston in 40th with a time of 23:49.

 

The cross-country team’s next event is the CCAA open championship, Nov. 12-13, which is hosted by Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, B.C.
