Kodiak men’s soccer having some unpleasant luck

The Kodiak men’s soccer season is finished for the year after taking a 6-0 loss from Grant MacEwan on Friday at NAIT.

The men had a tough start to the game, allowing their opponents to score four goals in the first half.

Losing their first game at provincials resulted in the end of their season.

Goaltender Cody Ferguson received player of the game for saving the Kodiaks’ from a higher loss. Teammates said Ferguson had some outstanding saves.

On Wednesday night, most of the men from the Kodiak’s outdoor team were pumped up to play men from the University of Lethbridge. Due to two players not being able to play, the coach cancelled the men’s first game of the indoor Lethbridge senior men’s league season.

The men were not happy because they had well over enough players that were able to play at Wednesday night’s game.

Still wanting to play, the men contacted the team they were supposed to play and set up a scrimmage for the same time.

Unfortunately, the men now have a -1 record for the league so far, because they forfeited the game.

The men play every Wednesday evening at the soccer centre. Times for games change each week.
