The Lethbridge College cross-country running team did an excellent job at the Grand Prix race in Camrose over the weekend
The Kodiaks men won the title and took back the trophy.
Willy Kimosop won the eight kilometre race to continue his Canadian college dominance, according to coach Bertil Johansson.
Other Lethbridge College runners Peter Kalya came in third, Dennis Ronoh fourth, and Cyrus Yagan seventh and in 14th was Dayn Opel.
In the five-kilometre women’s race Purity Candie finished fifth, Gladys Kochei was sixth, and Brandi Mackenzie came in 16th.
The Kodiak women claimed second overall as they beat Augustana but lost to Red Deer College.
The Kodiak women are sixth overall. With three and a half weeks left in the season, the women are not giving up the top spot as of yet.
The Lethbridge men’s team is ranked first overall.
The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference will have its meet on Oct. 31.
