Kodiaks fight hard to bring home win

Lethbridge College’s two volleyball teams came home with three wins after their away games in Edmonton, Nov. 11 and 12.

On Saturday, Nov. 12, the women won the match 3-0 against the Concordia Thunders by scores of 29-27, 29-25 and 25-17.

On Nov. 11, the women lost to the Thunders 3-2. The scores were 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 18-25, and 17-15.

Each set was close; the women didn’t go down without a fight. The women won the first two sets, but lost the final three with close scores.

Currently the women are third in the south division.

The men were consistent Nov. 11, 12. On Friday the men won 3-1 against Concordia.

Losing the first set, the men had to go to a fourth set.                                                                                                                              

Set scores were 24-26, 25-18, 25-13 and 26-24.

On Saturday the men didn’t feel like going to a fourth set, so they finished off the game in three, by scores of 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21.

The men are also currently third in the south division.

The Kodiaks next home game will be this Saturday Nov.26 with the women at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m.
