The Lethbridge College Kodiaks got into the win column as they took down the Medicine Hat Rattlers 108-89.
The Kodiaks got off to a flying start in the first quarter, getting bucket after bucket to lead by the score of 25-16 after the first.
The lead was short lived for the Kodiaks, as the Rattlers stormed back in the second half, receiving key baskets from Aaron Cameron and Deangelo Ashley.
The deficit was cut to a slight one-point lead, as the Kodiaks went into the break up by only a single point.
In the third however, the Kodiaks came out determined to win the game.
Colten Murray, Grady Taylor, and Keanu Funa all shot better than 50 per-cent from the three-point line, and the three combined for 5 three pointers in the first five minutes of the third.
The quarter was dominated by the men in white, and they expanded the lead to 15 heading into the fourth.
The Rattlers were able to play an even fourth quarter, but couldn’t mount the comeback eventually falling and ending their tournament.
The leading scorer for the Rattlers on the afternoon was Deangelo Ashley with 18 points.
Colten Murray was named player of the game for the Kodiaks pouring in 22 points and 12 minutes in only 24 minutes.
