Lethbridge College Pride Society awaiting SA approval

The Lethbridge College Pride Society finds out next week if they are approved to run an on-campus gay and lesbian group.

The Students’ Association holds their meeting on Monday. The LCPS will find out on Tuesday if they are approved for sure.

LCPS vice-president Clint Iggulden says there isn’t anticipation of a rejection.

“It sounds like we did get approval from the Students’ Association.”

The University’s PRIDE group will assist LCPS with resources. The president of LCPS, Jessica Lloyd, is a former executive of the university group.

Lloyd and Iggulden are hoping to have the group up and running with membership by the end of the semester and to start functioning in January. The group will start by organizing social events and growing from there.

The goal is to start small and eventually grow into a larger group like PRIDE.

LCPS can be contacted at lethcollegepride@gmail.com for support and information for events and activities the group wishes to hold.
