The Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association is looking forward to its plans for a new riding arena. Demolition of the old arena took place last week after collapsing from the weight of snow in early November.
The new plans include making the space bigger and easier to use, bathrooms and windows for natural light. Building of the new arena will start as soon as costs and numbers are settled with insurance companies.
“The arena had been serving us very well over the years and though it wasn’t perfect it certainly was a good asset to us,” said Rick Austin Executive Director to the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association.
As of the collapse, all riding classes and riding camps have been cancelled until further notice as there is no other location for them to take place. If you would like to make a donation for the centre go to atb.com/community.
