Living Dead Walk

The city of Lethbridge was invaded by the living-dead over the weekend.

Zombies young and old were welcomed to participate in this year’s fourth annual zombie walk.

The walk took place on Saturday Oct.23 and many people began the long journey around the city.

To those who are unfamiliar with a zombie walk, it’s a crowd of people who get together and dress up like the living-dead and walk around the city like a zombie.

The zombie walk has been in Lethbridge for the last four years, and co-organizer Jeremy Nordstrom has been involved for the past two years and says he had good reasons for joining.

“I have always been a fan of the zombie genre and I love Halloween,” he said. “This is the best of both worlds.”

The zombies seemed to hoard every camera in sight putting on a great show for the by-standers and each other while hardly any went out of character. It seemed that everyone was enjoying themselves and having a good time.

This is just one event going on in Lethbridge to get everyone into the season of Halloween.

Nordstrom also said, “None of this would’ve been possible without Tanya Plonka, Dino Scavo and Cassandra Pollock, the other organizers.”

The zombie walk is an annual event in North America which is still growing and is even becoming more popular amongst different generations of people. It’s not expected to “die-off” anytime soon.
