Looking to the future but living for the moment

Where I am is not exactly where I want to be but it’s kind of where I want to be because I have to be here to get where I am going.

I often fail to remind myself of where I want to be in the future and why I am where I am at this time in my life.

I often lose sight of where I want to be and what I want to get out of what I am studying in school.

I have realized the key to not giving up on these two short years that I am in school is to always keep my goal in the back of my mind while still being present in what I do everyday.

I want to take everything in, have new experiences and learn new things. I want to be teachable where I am at, but still with the goal in the back of my mind.

It’s got to be about more than just books. It should also be about building relationships with people who have similar interests, people whom you can share this time of your life with and people who can encourage you. You can be making memories while being educated by the people around you.

I don’t want to miss out on the now. I just want to know that what I am doing will be worthwhile because of what I can do with it afterwards.
