So the women’s outdoor season has come to an end, but they have already jumped right into their indoor season. Last night the women lost 4-2 in their first league game.
Kim Shellenberg scored the first goal for the Kodiaks. Shellenberg had several hard shots on goal throughout the game.
With only seconds left in the second half, Stephanie Penny scored the second goal for the Kodiaks.
The men’s team is on their way to provincials in Edmonton later this afternoon The men will be playing Grant MacEwan at their first game tomorrow at 2 p.m. for the quarter finals.
MacEwan finished their season with six wins, two losses and two ties. MacEwan is a good match for the Kodiaks to play. I think MacEwan is a good match because they have similar numbers to the Kodiaks for wins.
If our men’s team play their game and play to their ability, I believe they have a good shot at winning provincials.
If the men lose against MacEwan, they will be out. If the men win, they will play Medicine Hat on Saturday at 2 p.m., in the second semi-final.
I will update you next week on their results. Check out the results here, or pick up a copy of our paper on campus a week from today.
