A party at Residence Hall near Lethbridge College took a turn for the worse this morning as three people taken to hospital.
Police were prompt to respond to a distress call made early this morning.
Emergency services arrived on the scene and found three people injured, one of the victims had been stabbed and all three were taken to hospital.
One person has died, the extent of the injuries of the other individuals taken to hospital has not been released at this time.
“Police are investigating the matter, and all victims have been transported back [to the hospital] we cannot share what transpired inside because it is still under investigation,” said Constable Marco Skendzic.
The person responsible for the attacks has not been found by police and they have not yet released a description of the suspect.
Police say they plan to release that information as soon as possible.
One witness attending the party did see a man taken to hospital with what appeared to be a stab wound.
“One man was stabbed and he looked like he was dying,” said December Burgess.
The incident is still under investigation. Police are continuing to search for the suspect.
