You walk in at the Geomatic Attic where great live shows are held from diverse artists around Canada.
Right here is Ndidi O’s and the band come to shock the audience with their authentic storytelling of music.
Taking inspiration from genres of rhythm and blues, soul and folk, Ndidi shows how to put the crowd in full engagement and awe.
The Canadian singer and songwriter has been performing over two decades with releases of solo albums and award nominees from the Juno Awards and R&B artist of the year in the Western Canadian Music Awards.
During the live show with very small limited spaces, the audience is still stunned by the quality of sound and performance.
Ndidi likes to keep her audience comfortable and entertained by her comedic nature, in talking about personal stories that involve many events within her family and her musical journey.
One fan who enjoyed the performance of Ndidi’s comedy and high vocals, a retired citizen Linda Rawbon expresses her amazement in witnessing a local show turning it into a lifetime memory.
“The people are here to listen to the music, and they’re attracted to really a very intimate spaces and Mike Spencer, the owner here of the Geomatic attic, has created something very special.
The owner Mike Spencer organized the event with the intent of gathering many people to be part in tonight’s show.
Linda knows how much this meant to her and to the audience because of her brilliant songwriting skills and ways of captivating the crowd with the
balance of emotional stories and entertainment.
Just a little after the band’s first few songs and leading to the intermission, Ndidi expresses her thoughts about her own music and resonation of the fans, Talking about the formation of the group and how it all began.
“I really needed musicians to play with me on my journey and I met these fantastic musicians, and we started playing together. It has been great ever since. During that night, they revealed their new upcoming song exclusively in the Geomatic Attic since 2024.
Their song, “Simple Songs for Complicated Times” released on April 19th of last year, and the album includes songs like, “Change this life”, “In May”, “Ode to Death” and many more.
With additional thoughts from Ndidi, she likes to keep people safe in their mental health and bring messages to the world about keeping their hope and aspirations high. “We’re going to be ok because the world is quite dark right now and we’re in a very dark phase.
