A Lethbridge College instructor takes flight to Europe tomorrow for a weekend competition.
Cullinary instructor Doug Overes is off to Luxembourg for the Culinary World Cup.
This isn’t the first time Overes has competed so he is aware of what to expect and told local media it’s very busy and is given very little free time.
He is a part of Canada’s 25-person team and has a lot to do before the weekend comes.
For the competition, each person has to bring their own food to eat and the last bit of kitchen equipment that hasn’t been sent down already.
Overes also told media the competition was pressuring and can be a lot like the television show Hell’s Kitchen.
No students were sent this year for the competition but will be keeping in touch with Overes for the duration of the competition.
