With Skate Canada kicking off today, students have been left to find alternatives to parking at the Enmax Centre.
For drafting student Eric Vandenberg, the loss of his usual parking spot has provided an opportunity for a little self improvement.
“I’ve been parking on the street, further away, so I get some exercise,” he said.
However, word of the parking lot being closed didn’t reach all the students.
Brodie Takeda is one of them.
“I had no idea of the closure. I’m still parking at the Enmax.”
So far, security has not noticed any increase in the number of tickets being written, but students are noticing that stalls are a bit harder to come by.
“It’s a lot more crowded today,” Sarah Gilchrist said.
Students will only have to put up with the closure for one more day, as the Enmax Centre parking lot will once again be open for student parking on Monday.
