Photography, writing and music are three of my favourite things in this world… also food. Back in high school when I had to think of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I had no idea where to start. I knew that whatever road I chose; I would have to think about the kind of lifestyle I wanted for myself. I knew that being depressed in a dead-end job was something I actually feared. Then, during one of my last weeks of high school my home room teacher, Mrs. Parks had sat me down to discuss my career goals. Instead of asking the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” She took me by surprised and asked, “What is something you are passionate about?” I had never thought about it until then and after a few moments I had said, “Photography, writing, and music. Oh and food.”

Leaving that meeting that day, something has always stuck with me. I was told to turn my passion into a career.
