Stressed? Here’s how to avoid burnout.

10 Ways to Avoid School Burnout

School can be stressful. Avoid burning yourself out with some simple strategies.

1. Maintain your social life. Make time for fun with friends or on your own.

2. Have a support group with friends to do homework with, have someone to talk to when you need to and, most of all, to laugh with. During stressful times your classmates probably feel the same way. It’s nice to know you’re not alone.

3. Be aware about what you can handle. Out-of-school distractions can sidetrack you and it’s easy to fall behind. School is a priority.

4. Prioritize and manage your time well. Get a day planner, write down assignments as they are due and make a list of them chronologically by deadline to keep organized.

5. Eat right and nurture yourself. Being unhealthy means you won’t be at your best while in school.

6.Schedule your time for homework, friends, and yourself. Relax when you need to.

7. Get assignments done and handed in as they are assigned. Doing things last minute means you’re rushed and the quality of your work won’t be as good.

8. Exercise. Have a physical way to work off stress.

9.Celebrate your accomplishments with friends when you do well on tests and assignments. Getting through college is tough and worthy of being proud of.

10. Remember these are the days you will remember. Enjoy the time being in college, keep your dreams in mind and remember to have fun. This is the first step to the rest of your life.
