Into the Wild sparks the Buchanan Library’s “Stuff the Bus” Food for Fines, food bank campaign for the Students Association.

Into the Wild is the ‘One Book’ students are being encouraged to read this school year and the library showed the film as well to get students reading.

Students were asked to bring in non-perishable food items for the Students Association food bank.

There were draws for prizes and free popcorn was also given out throughout the afternoon showings.

Events co-ordinator Aaron Chubb at the Students Association says the event could have gone better but was a good way to start things up for the “Stuff the Bus” campaign.

This campaign is on-going so all food bank donations can be brought to the library until Dec. 23 and every donation will drop your library fines.

There is also a chance to win an E-book reader throughout the month if you donate.
