Lethbridge College is participating in the TD Pump It Up contest.

Each college or university around Canada was allowed to enter into different sections of the contest: featherweight, lightweight, or heavyweight. The college is now in the semifinals of the featherweight division.

If the college does win this contest, it will be hosting three concerts valued around $300,000. BOB, Mother Mother, and Team Canada DJ are the three concerts that could be held at the college.

The contest relies on the votes of the students and people around the community. You do not have to be a student to vote.

You can either log on using your Facebook account, or create an account. On the main page of the contest, found on the right side bar, is a trivia question and a link to find your local TD branch. If you complete these tasks the college gets extra votes as well.

So far the college has defeated New Brunswick Community College, Nipissing University, Universite de Moncton and Aurora College. Currently the college is battling it out with St. Francis Xavier University.

The college has sent out an email with the link to vote and it is being tweeted and posted on Facebook.

St. Francis Xavier won the contest in 2009, so let’s not let them win this year as well. The website for the event is http://www.tdpumpitup.com/, it only takes a few minutes to vote and voting takes place once a day.
