Students have spoken about referendum

Last week LCSA held elections for their Student Government position, but also held a vote towards the LCSA giving the new trades building some money towards the construction.

The voter turnout was 83 per cent in favor of donating the money to the building.

Sheldon Anderson, Heavy Duty Mechanics Chair, shares his insight on the new referendum that has just been passed last week.

“This will be a huge benefit to be able to provide the kind of learning environment that will provide success for our learners and to be able to make us the destination of choice for people who want to learn about the Trades.”

The LCSA has created a strong partnership within the College with the Trades building by giving a generous gift of $200,000 to the students and future students of the trades.

In the new building there will be more open space for the students to study in their own environment and will mainly directed to Trades, with news shops and labs and classrooms set up for trades will benefit the students a lot.
