Agriculture and the City of Lethbridge go hand in hand. With that means big benefits for the local economy, reports Tawnya Plain Eagle
Mayor Chris Spearman says with local expertise specializing in areas such as water management it helps create a diverse economy. Having international processors like McCain and Maple Leaf located near Lethbridge help keep business in southern Alberta.
“Right now manufacturing and exporting of agriculture products is probably a wonderful opportunity for Alberta,” says Spearman.
He adds it is a great time to be producing them locally as well as exporting and expanding these industries.
