Thunder not loud enough as Rustlers clinch berth

The second semi-final matchup of the CORA’s Breakfast and Lunch 2018 ACAC Men’s Basketball Championships was a thrilling one.

The number one Concordia Thunder took on number three Lakeland Rustlers in a North vs North matchup. The two teams came out quick with a frantic pace to start the game. The Rustlers and Thunder continued trading baskets before Lakeland was able to stretch out a bit of a lead.

A couple of missed dunks didn’t worry Lakeland as they were able to bounce back and continue their solid play. Concordia was able to fight their way back into the game on a couple of occasions but just couldn’t find a way to get past Lakeland who moved on to the Championship Game and a place in the National Championships with a 92-82 victory.
