Tim Horton Children’s Foundation Camp gives kids exciting opportunity

A non-profit organization has been selected to attend the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation Camp taking place next week. Tawnya Plain Eagle found out what this means for the Opokaa’sin Early Intervention Society.

Tim Horton Children’s Foundation gives kids who live under the poverty line the opportunity to attend camps at low costs.

The Children’s Foundation’s General Manager Jeff Storck says that the purpose of this camp is to help youth work towards a brighter future.

“We offer a variety of activities that are specifically and intentionally designed to help children reach certain goals,” says Storck.

They would walk away with leadership skills that would help them work as a team, in hopes that they can takes these skills and strive to build a successful life.

The children from the Opokaa’sin will leave on their camping trip on March 29th and spend three days in Kananaskis Country.
