For many college students, Halloween dance parties mean dressing up and going out. But for one, it means assembling a special playlist.
Creeping up this Thursday, the Lethbridge College Student Association (LCSA) is hosting the annual Halloween Howl with their unofficial DJ ‘Orangeman’.
Brandon ‘Orangeman’ McGraw’s first performance occurred at LCSA’s Full moon Party, welcoming first year students along with retuning students to the Lethbridge College. Basing his DJ abilities on electronic dance music, McGraw says events like the Full Moon Party requires certain knowledge regarding mixing different genres to obtain full interests of the crowd. Blending country into today’s pop hits is not the only skill that recommended, but engaging the audience is another formidable balance at dance parties.
“[As an experienced DJ]…interacting with audiences was gradual but now I can be put in front of the crowd and gain all the confidence,” says college student, Brandon ‘Orangeman’ McGraw.
Tanner Marcer, Events and Communication coordinator for the LCSA was surprised by how McGraw stole the show by getting on the microphone and appealing the crowd with several dance contests. Marcer said McGraw also volunteered to promote the Full Moon Party and claims he was very easy to work.

For the LCSA, hosting a memorable party requires positive turnouts regarding the lights, decorations and music. First year student of the Lethbridge college Brett Hogan, says he was a great addition to the party and is excited for the next event.
Keep your eyes peeled for the man with a large mouse head on the stage as ‘Orangeman’ plans to spook and shock students with a few Halloween tricks up his sleeve.
Halloween Howl starts at 8pm on Thursday, October 30. For additional information visit Lethbridge College Students’ Association page on facebook.com
