“Separately, they must one day be talented, accomplished, even remarkable practitioners of the craft, but only together can they attain their full powers.” 

This quote hails from the book The Power of Two written by H.B. Gilmour. The movie Twitches and its sequel Twitches Too are inspired by this book.

The book and the movie are pretty similar, with some differences.

 In the movie, the twins are 21-years-old; in the book, they are 14-years-old. 

In the book Camryn has two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother. In the movie, Camryn is an only child. 

Alex has two parents in the book. In the movie, we only hear about her mother. 

In the book, the characters look different compared to the characters in the movie. 

 In the book Camryn and Alex have gray eyes and auburn hair. In the movie they have almond-coloured eyes and black hair. 

Justin Carreiro a writer for The Young Folks loves the movie Twitches. In a Sept. 30, 2015 post he said, “Twitches had the perfect mix of what I love: magic, drama and the return of 90’s teen stars, Tia and Tamera Mowry.”

This movie is considered a fantasy movie with some action-packed scenes, and I recommend it because I find it entertaining in many ways.

The actresses who play the twin witches, Tia and Tamera Mowry, are very well known for their roles in the 90’s sitcom Sister, Sister so I think that’s one reason why people would want to watch this movie. 

This movie is G-rated, so it’s definitely for people of all ages. If young kids want to watch this movie, I would suggest that they have adult supervision while watching, in case they get scared.

 There are some scenes in the movie that might scare kids, like when the Darkness tries to attack the twins and when it pulls Karsh down the stairs.

I think the actresses did a good job of playing twin witches. 

When the characters meet for the first time it’s very dramatic, which I like. It’s funny and entertaining to watch. 

I like how Camryn is really girly and has a lot of friends. At her birthday party, there were about 100 people who showed up. That is one impressive birthday party!

She loves to shop, she’s sporty and she has a great sense of style. She’s also an early riser. As soon as the sun’s up, she’s up. 

I also love how big Camryn’s house is. When I get a job and have a steady income, I would love to live in a house that’s as big as Camryn’s.

 Fun fact for you. Camryn lives in the same house that Regina George from Mean Girls lived in.

 I like how Alex is a hard-worker and a fast learner. I also like how she dresses casually.

Her personality can be described as sarcastic, witty and smart. 

I think the cinematography in the movie looks fantastic! I also like how they designed the Coventry home. 

In the first scene of the movie, we see the exterior of Coventry, which looks like a castle. Other scenes throughout both movies show us the interior of the home. 

I also like how they designed the Darkness, the evil that continues to resurface throughout the movie. It’s a very accurate representation of what you would expect it to be. 

To be honest, I’m not sure what drew me to this movie. When I was a kid, I was a huge Disney Channel fan and I still am. 

One night close to Halloween I was watching television in my bedroom when Twitches came on. 

The movie piqued my interest and the sequel came out right after. Ever since then, Twitches and Twitches Too have been my favourite Halloween movies.
