US election or Trumpocalypse?

So Donald Trump is the president (elect) of the United States of America…huh, who would have saw that coming? columnhead

Being behind in most polls, many assumed Hillary Clinton would run away with the election, that is until last night when the secret Trump voters turned out and pulled a 180 degree turn on the US media.

I am certainly no Trump supporter and I don’t trust Clinton, but I find that the media pushed for her victory for as long as I can remember.

According to publicintegrity.org, about 430 media members had given around $382,000 to Clinton and her campaign through August.

Sure, Trump is Trump and he says a lot of things that people don’t agree with, but I feel Clinton got a pass for her issues such as the whole e-mail scandal.

I think what it came down to was the people wanted a president who could speak for them instead of another politician who had been caught in multiple lies during the campaign cycle. This definitely hurt her chances of becoming the first female president and now we’re stuck with the Donald.

What is his term as president even going to look like?

I doubt it will be as bad as “Trumpocalype” or World War III like some have predicted, but who really knows what will happen considering he has almost no political experience.

I believe that what politics needs is a regular person who isn’t from a political background and have them run like Trump did, minus all the negativity that he spouted.

The money factor will be the key thing though as it takes millions of dollars in order to run, especially if you are self-funded like Trump.

These next four years could be interesting for better or for worse and there’s really no way to tell how it will work out.

Maybe everyone should have just voted for Phil Kessel like I would have.
