Through the art of music, one university student composed the music for a main stage production that took place this week. Tawnya Plain Eagle has more.
Singing is one of the many talents this university student possesses. Aj Baragar is in his fourth year of Drama at the University of Lethbridge. He was shocked when he was approached to compose the music for the Faculty of Fine Arts production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
“Its really cool to hear people doing your songs, its satisflying because your like ‘oh wow, I made these,’” said Baragar.
Not only did Baragar compose the music, he also has a role in the performance as well.
“I can’t help but listen to the music and listen to everybody singing and just really loving everything that hard word and dedication everyone put into the songs,” he adds.
Baragar has been working on this play since last May. Adding that this play is not the traditional play that most people are use it. He jokes that the traditional procedures of theatre have been shattered in this show.
