Putting this in as plain terms as possible, Facebook is sucking everyone in to its vortex of dropping everything they are doing and sitting browsing who knows what for a long period of time.
I have even said it is ridiculous how many hours I spend looking at photos or reading status updates when I could be doing homework or something more productive.
You know it is bad when you start up the internet and instead of typing in Google, you find yourself staring at the Facebook page. That’s right, without even knowing your brain automatically thinks internet means Facebook.
I would have to say though the website is good for getting the news out right when it happens. If it is snowing outside, we will know it is snowing and we don’t even have to look out our window. If something major happens in the world, don’t bother looking on the news site, just go straight to Facebook. I bet five of your friends have their status set to the latest details on that subject.
I could sit here all day saying positives and negatives about Facebook, but I am sure everyone agrees when I say I might have a notification I have to check.
