Wick returns to the underworld

According Rotten Tomatoes, John Wick Chapter 4 has made a whopping $137 million on opening week, which is 41 per cent of what Chapter 3: Parabellum made.

John Wick Chapter 4 is definitely a must watch if you are the type to get straight into the action.

The movie overall was action packed and I was pleased with the outcome, it was carefully written and had a lot of thought put into it for a series finale.

The movie had a lot of vibrant colours which made it more engaging and appealing to the audience.

Besides the adrenaline-packed action, the writers decided to integrate a little bit of humour. According to an interview conducted by Rachel Leishman on the writers thought process of putting humour in intense scenes for The Mary Sue YouTube channel, Shay Hatten, one of the writers says “You just need those moments of levity, especially in such a long epic movie that goes to different places and has such intense emotional content, you need those moments of jokes that lets the audience know that we’re having fun.”

Hatten also mentions that they are aware that some scenes are heightened tone and putting humour was to break up that tone, putting the audience in a lighter tone helps them get back into the next intense content.

There’s this intense action sequence where the main character goes indoors and vigorously fights oncoming waves of foes that are after him. This sequence was filmed overhead to give the audience a wider point of view to see how intense it was.

It’s very hard to explain exactly what happened without giving off any spoilers for those who have not seen it in theatres, I highly recommend for you to go watch it to experience it yourself.

It was well choreographed, and everything had to be timed perfectly to match the continuous slow panned shot.

In order to write a proper movie review, one must watch it multiple times. For a college student, the budget isn’t necessarily on our side to be able to go to the theatres multiple times to assess every cut scene for a well written review. I highly recommend going to theatres to experience it yourself or with whoever you bring with you.

It is definitely a must watch if you have seen and enjoyed all the previous John Wick movies. In short, it’s a great film to watch.
