Writer’s window: Go big or go bigger

The new Starbucks cup size has been released in America but only in 14 States as of thus far.

The “trenta” is a whooping 31 ounces (916 mL) of iced coffee beverages and the real question on many peoples minds is “How much is too much?” I enjoy my coffee, especially on those groggy Monday mornings but 31 ounces seems a little much.
This is the next size up from the 20 ounce (591.5 mL) “venti” cup. The new size is currently only available for iced drinks which are commonly among the
highest calorie weight of any other drink on the menu.
Adding 325mL to an already highly caffeinated and highly sugary beverage should be setting off warning bell number one.
Last week a video was released on YouTube of a man named Rob Cockerham emptying an entire bottle of wine into the 31 ounce cup.
This should set off the second warning bell as that is a lot of coffee to be drinking in one sitting.
There is no word yet as to whether the cup will be coming to Canada or if so, when it will be. I think I’ll stick to my grande caramel macchiato.
