DCM at the Mall

Mall-goers were given a behind-the-scenes look into Lethbridge College’s Digital Communications and Media Program, Halen Kooper reports.

An exhibit hosted at Park Place Mall included a virtual studio that allowed shoppers to anchor their own newscasts. DCM instructor Martina Emard says they wanted to get their name out there and spark local interest.

New to anchoring, Jessy Magson says a broadcasting career is now an option. The Digital Communications and Media program was the final showcase in the Media and Design at the Mall campaign. For anyone that missed the display, the Media and Design programs will be spotlighted at Lethbridge College’s Collide-O-Scope fundraiser next month.
